About

Dr. Veerabhadraswamy Mruthyunjaya , (VBS) born in Bengaluru, did his Masters in Chemistry in the year 1994 and Ph. D., in 2002 from University of Mysore and obtained PG Diploma in Environmental Law in 2020 and Masters in Business Law (MBL) degree from National Law of Indian Universities, Bengaluru in the year 2017. Presently, he is working as Associate Professor of Chemistry, P E S University. His current research field engages green chemistry which includes conversion of biomass (non-edible seed cake and defatted rice bran) into bio-fuels, chemical intermediates using heterogeneous catalysts and conversion of waste to bio-composites. His projects have been funded by VTU Belagavi, AICTE New Delhi, and VGST-KIST (L1) Bengaluru. Dr. VBS has served as Post Doctoral Research Assistant under Dr. Gary N Sheldrake, Queen University Belfast, Belfast UK in the field of green technology (Supercritical fluid extraction). Dr. VBS has about three and half years of industrial research experience in the field of nutraceutical and natural products. In net shall, he has 25 years of vast experience as an academician, administrator and as researcher. Under his guidance two research students have obtained Ph D degrees from VTU, Belagavi, and presently guiding Ph. D students, PG and UG students. He has been actively involved in GREEN CHMISTRY DOMAN activity promotion. Dr. VBS has presented research articles in conferences and 1ed research papers in various International and Nations Journals, His recent innovation in the field of catalyst has resulted in filing patent. He has authored books and Book Chapters in the field of green chemistry and its applications. He has few honors and recognitions to his credits.
