About

Has over 10.8 years of academic experience in engineering institutions affiliated with VTU, Belagavi. Currently serving as Associate Professor, in Dept. of CSE-AIML, RR Campus. Has served as In-charge Head of the Department in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science and as an Associate Professor in the department of Information science & Engineering at East West Institute of Technology, Bangalore. Is an active academic contributor and has been involved in various institutional and university-level responsibilities, including Board of Examiners (BOE) in various VTU colleges, member and coordinator roles for NAAC, research projects, curriculum design, and departmental activities. Has played a key role in academic planning, syllabus structuring, and autonomous scheme coordination. Recognized research supervisor under VTU and is currently guiding two Ph.D. scholars and successfully mentored numerous undergraduate and postgraduate projects, contributing to student innovation and research development. Research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Medical Image Processing, and Internet of Things (IoT) and has a strong research track record with multiple publications in reputed international journals and IEEE conferences and also a reviewer for international conferences. Has actively participated in and completed several Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), workshops, and seminars in emerging technologies such as Generative AI, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics.

  • Received a student project proposal grant for KSCST of sum of Rs 3500/- “Intelligent silkworm incubator using IOT” in the year 2025

  • Received a grant for VTU-RGS proposal entitled “Design of smart self-defense device for woman safety using mobile and IOT application” in the year 2022 and sanctioned sum of Rs 13.25 lakh as co-investigator.
