Dr. Richa Sharma worked as an Assistant Professor at PES University, T John College, Bangalore, and PCTE Group of Institutes, Ludhiana. She holds a master's degree in technology (M. Tech) and master’s and bachelor’s degrees in computer applications (MCA, BCA). With nine years of experience in teaching and training MCA, MBA, and B.E. students, her interests lie in researching new technologies, teaching, and mentoring to help groom new talent with the required skillset. She has publications in various national and international conferences and journals of repute. With a PhD in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), specializing in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning/Deep Learning (ML/DL), she is currently an Associate Professor at PES University, Bangalore. Her primary research focus is on Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI, Large Language Models, Retrieval Augmented Generation etc. —areas she has long been passionate about and where she finds immense excitement in applying these technologies to tackle significant challenges in the digital landscape. During her PhD, she conducted pioneering research in fake news detection, particularly in the Hindi language. In addition to her research, she has mentored numerous projects, resulting in the publication of several papers in respected conferences and journals, thereby contributing to the academic community and advancing the field.
