About
Based in Bangalore, India, I am an Assistant Professor of Communication Design, specializing in undergraduate courses such as Design Fundamentals, Fashion Communication, Interactive design, and visual identity systems. Professionally, I have collaborated with brands including Unilever brands, Tinder, Philips, Facebook Watch etc. My tenure as an Art Director at Target Corporation, India, honed my skills in art direction and brand strategy. Currently, I lead BottleCap, a multidisciplinary design studio delivering brand identity, website design, art direction, and packaging solutions. My research focuses on combining different fields to improve design education and exploring how communication design connects with the humanities in academic settings. I am particularly interested in understanding the cultural and historical backgrounds of artistic practices. By using various theories and critical methods, I aim to highlight how historical and cultural contexts influence creative work.
