Dr. P. Kavitha is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. She received her Ph.D. from Anna University, Chennai, India, for her research on Anomaly-based Intrusion Detection in 802.11 Networks with Optimal Feature Selection. With an academic career that began in December 1998, she brings over 23 years of rich experience in teaching and research. She is a recognized Research Supervisor at Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and PES University, Karnataka, and has successfully guided two doctoral scholars under VTU. Her research interests span Network security, Anomaly detection, Machine Learning and Feature optimization in wireless networks. Dr. Kavitha is a life member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and IEEE (India). Her commitment to advancing knowledge, mentoring young researchers, and contributing to the academic community has earned her recognition as a dedicated teacher and researcher.
