About

I’m Dr. Tania Bose, a passionate mathematician and educator with a Ph.D. from Panjab University, Chandigarh, where my research focused on mathematical modeling of creep in composite materials for engineering applications. My academic journey began with a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mathematics from Panjab University, followed by a Ph.D. completed in 2018. I earned JRF and SRF from CSIR, New Delhi to persue PhD. As an active researcher, I’ve published extensively in high-impact journals like the European Journal of Mechanics and International Journal of Applied Mechanics and hold 20 patents including design and utility, showcasing my innovative spirit. My teaching experience spans over 15 years across diverse institutions and it’s been an awesome journey. I joined as an Associate Professor in PES University, RR Campus in May 2025. Before that, I was serving as a Professor at Chitkara University, Punjab, following my time as an Associate Professor there from 2019 to 2022. Before that, I was an Assistant Professor at Chitkara University from 2010 to 2014 and a Lecturer at G.G.S. College of Modern Technology, Kharar, from 2006 to 2010. During my Ph.D., I taught as a Research Scholar and later as a Guest Lecturer at the University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University, from 2014 to 2019. My teaching covers a broad spectrum of mathematical disciplines like Engineering Maths and Discrete Maths. I was consecutively the unit chair for 5 years in a twin program run by Deakin University, Australia. I have conducted several workshops on Vedic Maths, Latex writing and MATLAB. My efforts have been recognized with awards like the Best Oral Presentation at Chandigarh Science Congress and research awards presented by Panjab University for publishing papers in high impact journals.
