About
Dr. Sudhamani M J is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) at PES University, with over 22 years of academic and research experience. She holds a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from VTU, with research focused on multimodal biometrics, machine learning, and image processing. Her work spans pattern recognition, healthcare AI, and intelligent systems, with over 17+ publications in reputed IEEE, Springer, and Scopus-indexed journals, including a Best Paper Award at ICDAM-2021. She has actively contributed to funded research projects, including proposals to national agencies such as ANRF, AICTE, and WELLCO ME. Dr. Sudhamani has played key leadership roles in curriculum design, accreditation (NBA & NAAC), and industry collaborations with organizations like Infosys, KPIT, and Samsung Innovation Campus. She is also the founder of student-driven initiatives such as BigO Coding Club and GDG club, fostering innovation and technical excellence among students. Her vision is to promote interdisciplinary, research-driven education by integrating AI-driven pedagogy, industry collaboration, and student-centered innovation. Actively mentoring students in AI, IoT, and interdisciplinary research projects. Passionate about applying AI for societal impact in healthcare and education.
